Ear piercing manufacturer Studex has revealed plans to open a new office in Dublin, known as Studex Ireland.

This initiative is intended to provide improved services to existing Irish clients and to establish new partnerships. The Dublin office is expected to serve as a pivotal point for nurturing and expanding the piercing business locally.

    Leadership and Aspirations

The Irish branch will be under the guidance of John Walsh, a long-serving member of the Studex team, his son Jack, and Caroline, a skilled Studex trainer. They aim to uphold the company’s reputation for exceptional customer service.

    Potential Advantages for Irish Jewellers

The presence of Studex in Dublin is anticipated to offer several benefits:

    • Enhanced Service Delivery: The local office is expected to simplify delivery processes, potentially reducing costs.
    • In-Depth Local Knowledge: The team’s understanding of the Irish market is hoped to boost the effectiveness of the piercing program.
    • Community Engagement: Participation in the Professional Beauty & Hair Ireland event in Dublin (April 2024) demonstrates a commitment to local industry involvement.

    Growth Opportunities

Studex’s venture into Ireland seeks to provide promising opportunities for Irish jewellers:

    • Accessible Entry Point: Adding piercing services is designed to be affordable in terms of initial investment.
    • Profitability Prospects: Piercing services could offer a new source of revenue.
    • Extensive Support: Starter kits are planned to include free onsite training, continuous customer support, and marketing resources.
    • Customer Attraction and Retention: The new service aims to draw in new clients while maintaining loyalty among existing ones, fostering enduring relationships.
